ADULT ART CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

Make a stained glass piece based on designs provided. Beginner class, try your hand at stained glass and see if it is your passion. Everything provided.

***Prior experience with stained glass required****

This is a weekly class, you work on a design of your choice. Books are available for you to choose a pattern. You will be able to use stained glass at the art center, although the colors are limited. You may want to purchase your own glass in the color you want. There will be tools and other supplies available for you to use.

Saturday 1 - 3 pm Monthly

Learn to mix a variety of acrylic paints with pouring mediums. Learn how to pour onto surfaces and manipulate paint by tipping and using tools.

Everything you need will be provided for this class.

Second Monday of the month:

Glass fusing is the technique used to join glass pieces together by partly melting the glass at high temperature. In this class you will learn the basics and complete a project to be picked up after firing.

In this workshop we will cover the basics of digital photography and explore both the technical and artistic elements of photography.

Learn the basics of carving. Each 2 hour class will include a presentation on various topics, including styles of carving, tools and techniques, safety, types of wood, finishes and history of woodcarving.

Participants will carve a project each night. A carving knife , safety glove and thumb guard, ( all required equipment) as well as carving materials will be supplied.

Class limited to 8 students.

Learn the basics of watercolor as you create a painting to take home that evening. Students from beginners to advanced learn new techniques and perfect your skills in a monthly class.
